D2L Gradebook Settings

Access via: Assessments > Grades > Settings icon > Calculation Options tab

D2L gradebook settings are locked to ensure consistency and prevent technical issues during grades transfer.
Final Grade Released: Calculated Final Grade (ready for transfer as soon as marks are input).
Grade Calculations: "Treat ungraded items as 0" — removes the need to manually key in zeros.

Before Finals: Gradebook Checklist

Final Calculated Grade must equal 100. Check the Final Calculated Grade row at the bottom of the gradebook. Watch out for publisher automated assessments that add 10% weight by default.
No error messages at the top of the gradebook screen. Errors indicate issues with Final Calculated Grade or category weights.
All assessment results are visible on the gradebook. Watch for icons indicating ungraded submissions or unevaluated quizzes.

No further settings required — students cannot view their D2L gradebook until permission is restored by AEL.

Click the arrow beside the Learner column and select "Username, ascending".
